I don't have any big finish this week. I have started new projects and I have tons of plans but I moved on with the paper piecing technique. My second block ever. It's part of the pattern testing over at Quiet Play. I'm still not sure if I like the technique or not. The first letter took me forever to make but the other two went quite all right. Either way I'm happy with the outcome and I like to see the other words popping out in blogosphere.
Podařilo se mi uklidit svůj šicí koutek. Leda tak ve snu :-) V šuplíkách mám srovnáno podle barev a lahev se škrobem připravenou k použití. Jak je vidět zrovna mi došlo kafe, tak si jdu nějaké uvařit. Hezký víkend!
I managed to clean up my sewing space. See that drawer? Everything is sorted by color. I have the spray of starch ready and as you can see I just run out of coffee. I got to go to make me another one. DREAM ON!

Vexi, to je zajímavý s tím výzem - zrovna dneska povídala jedna paní u kadeřnice, že prý už 5 let se jedna známka nedává. Prý kvůli tomu, že i prvňáci už musejí mít vyzmanenání (tak asi aby se dělal průměr či co).

WOW that's the most organized sewing room I've ever seen - I'm envious!! ;)
Paper piecing is a great way to make blocks with really REALLY accurate points and angles --- it does have a learning curve, though! It's definitely a fabric eater - especially blocks with acute angles :D In that instance it's best to really cut LARGE, lol!
I think you did an absolutely fantastic job on your paper pieced word! Look how beautifully your seams line up - well done! Can't wait to see it in person!
Can you build me a LEGO room like that so I can pretend I'm really tidy?
